In 2017 I spent two weeks in Kathmandu and the Annapurna Mountain Reserve Region. Tradition, religion, the caste system, poverty, and density combine to form a rich texture that is unique to the Indian subcontinent. In general, I found the people of Nepal to be wonderfully open and happy.
